PfP Blog Partners for Possibility needs you in 2019

Partners for Possibility (PfP), through its leadership development and principal support programme, continues to positively transform under-resourced schools in South Africa – school by school.

In the eighth year, and with an audacious target of impacting 2,000 under-resourced schools by 2030 in mind, the programme succeeded in reaching 900 schools.

This signifies that there is increasing awareness among individuals and businesses of the urgent task at hand – to sustainably solve the country’s deepening education crisis. The programme’s footprint this year alone also points to a shift in the thinking of ordinary citizens: towards the realisation that the active citizenry of South Africa possesses the power to turn the tide.

PfP Blog Outdoor Classroom Day 2018: Celebrating the benefits of outdoor learning

The success of this year’s annual global Outdoor Classroom Day campaign has shown that teaching and learning needn’t be confined to the four walls of the classroom. Despite the inclement weather that affected some parts of South Africa on 1 November 2018, schools across the country held at least one class outdoors and showed unique South African flair and originality in the activities they chose!

Around 150,000 learners from early childhood development (ECD) centres and schools across South Africa participated this year in the event which promotes outdoor learning. The campaign’s long-term goal is for outdoor learning to become part of every school day for every child.
